Chasing Demons

For nearly a decade, J.D. Thompson had been traveling across the U.S. and Europe until one fateful afternoon in Dublin, Ireland when he was discovered by Lou Adler buskin on the famous Irish music thoroughfare on Dublin’s Grafton Street literally singing for his supper. Thompson soon found himself recording with stalwarts Mike Elizondo (Ry Cooder, T-Bone Burnett, Fiona Apple) and Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M., Elliot Smith) with Adler producing. The result: the brilliantly crafted 2009 studio album Chasing Demons, recorded both in Dublin (Sun Studios) and L.A. (Shangri-La Studios, Phantom Studios, and Adler’s ‘bu Haven Studio),mastered by Bob Ludwig.
