WATCH: Trailer for J.D. Thompson’s feature documentary, “The Life Exotic” on Oklahoma’s Tiger King

The G.W. Zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma is the world’s largest private zoo featuring over 180 big cats. The zoo is operated by founder Joe Schreibvogel, a.k.a. Joe Exotic, the self-described “gay, gun-carrying redneck with a mullet.”

The “Life Exotic” is the first feature-length documentary on the Joe Exotic directed by J.D. Thompson and released in 2016 prior to Schreibvogel’s arrest and conviction on a variety of charges including a ‘murder for hire’ plot to kill a rival zoo-keeper.
